  1. For overstable distance with a predictable finish, Calvin Heimburg goes with his Halo Star Destroyers every time. You should too. How this batch of Halo Star Destroyer feel: Noticeable dome typical of mold. Gobs of grip. More about the player: No matter the tournament, Calvin Heimburg is likely a favorite to win. Why? Because he has the complete game including big, accurate distance. Though he has yet to win his first major, Heimburg has owned the DGPT, winning 13 events including the Dynamic Discs Open and OTB Open last year. In 2023, he won the Ken Climo Player of the Year award. Plus, you can’t forget the DGPT Match Play Championship he took in 2021. More about the disc: If you’ve got plenty of power, it’s time you graduated to the Innova Destroyer. It’s the distance driver all others are judged by. The Halo edition comes with a touch more overstabilty and beautiful color contrast. Heimburg Quote: “The Halo Star Destroyer is my go-to forehand and backhand driver in all weather conditions.” Destroyer Flight Numbers: 12 / 5 / -1 / 3

  2. Courses beware! When the Capn’ Blackboar Galactic XT Pig is on the loose, birdies will be plundered with impunity.   ** A Marm O. Set 2-Color Design How this batch of Galactic XT Pig feels: Flat to very flat. Fierce grip. More about the stamp: Before a crucial battle, some say Capn’ Blackboar would attach slow burning fuses to his braided beard, creating a terrifying yet alluring smoked pork loin smell. Enemies were both drawn and repulsed by this sight/smell, leaving them confused and hungry. And that’s exactly when Blackboard would strike. More about the disc: You'll squeal with delight each time you throw the sturdy and sassy Innova Pig – the overstable mid range disc that’s great for hyzer putting, sidearm approaches and backhand spikes. Flight Numbers: 4 / 1 / 0 / 3

  4. The Innova Pro Coupe is an old school putt and approach disc designed to cruise straight to the basket. **Limited Run of Out of Production Disc How the Coupe feels: Small diameter putt and approach disc with bead on rim bottom. Very thick upper rim that transitions to thin flight plate. Flat. Coupe Flight Numbers: 2 / 3 / -1 / 1 How the Coupe flies: For approaches, the Coupe flies similar to an Aviar except a tad more understable. Great for moderate length ‘S’ shot. Straight shooter from inside the circle. Innova Pro plastic is the next progression from DX plastic but still maintains affordability. And, you could make the argument it’s the best Innova plastic for glide. It’s less durable than premium plastics. It’s also more understable than Champion, Star, and Halo. **This Coupe comes in an especially grippy blend of Pro plastic which feels similar to JK Pro plastic. Great for: Inside the circle putting Thread the needle approaches

  5. With her pure form and dialed-in accuracy Henna Blomroos is a distance specialist. Unlock your inner-bomber with her Proto Glow Halo Star Destroyer. How this batch of Proto Glow Halo Star Destroyer feel: Noticeable dome typical of mold. Softer feel. More about the player: Henna Blomroos is the silky smooth distance crusher from Finland. She’s so consistent it’s strange to see a tournament leaderboard without her near the top. A top Finnish pro since 2014, she made her first jump to U.S. events in 2019 with a 4th place finish at PDGA Pro Worlds and 3rd at the DGPT Jonesboro Open. Blomroos is the 2X European Disc Golf Champ and 2018 RE/MAX Open Champ. Most recently she tied for 2nd at the 2024 PDGA Champions Cup and claimed 2nd at the 2022 PDGA Pro Worlds. 6. Versatile, stable, straight – the Ohn Scoggins Proto Glow Halo Star Leopard3 is great at simplifying complex shots. How this batch of Proto Glow Halo Star Leopard3 feel: Minimal to modest dome. Substantial grip. A tad more stiff than stock Halo Leopard3’s. More about the player: Ohn Scoggins is arguably the best 40+ woman in the game today. She is currently riding a streak of 4 PDGA Masters World Championships in a row. That said, she’s still very dangerous on the FPO side, too, winning several Disc Golf Pro Tour events the last few years. Though she may not be the longest bomber on the tour, she makes up for it and then some with her accurate drives and first rate putting. She has a fearless style that makes pressure putts look routine. With her fun, bubbly personality she’s a fan favorite on and off the course. More about the disc: The Leopard3 disc is flatter and faster than the Leopard we all know but still inherits the Leopard's knack for control. Players first turn to it for its straight flight, but they soon find it’s also remarkable for finesse and steady turning shots as well. Ohn Quote: “My Leopard3 is money, baby! Straight flyer, easy control—pros love it, beginners need it. Backhand, forehand, rollers? You name it, this disc has got you covered!” Leopard3 Flight Numbers: 7 / 5 / -2 / 1

  7. The Innova Star Raven is a sneaky far, old school driver that has a knack for landing in paydirt. **Limited Run of Out of Production Disc How the Raven feels: Noticeable dome. Jumbo bead along top of rim. Smaller bead along rim bottom. Raven Flight Numbers: 6 / 4 / -2 / 2 How the Raven flies: In its heyday (mid to late 1990’s), the Raven was said to be Innova’s longest large diameter disc. Now classified as a fairway driver, it is still touted for its control, predictability and its penchant for finding shiny objects like the basket. Star plastic gives the best of both worlds: incredible durability while maintaining a grippy feel in the hand. In terms of stability it sits in between DX and Champion. Great for: Placement shots Long, slow anhyzers

  8.  A disc from an earlier era, the Innova GStar Pegasus is a slow speed fairway driver that’s got a noticeable kick at flight’s end. **Limited Run of Out of Production Disc How the Pegasus feels: Moderate dome. Flexy. Distinctive monster bead on the top rim. Pegasus Flight Numbers: 7 / 4 / -1 / 3 How the Pegasus flies: A long range driver in its day (late 90’s – early 00’s), the Pegasus is now classified as a control fairway driver. With plenty of fade, the Peg gallops down the fairway but always returns to the barn. GStar plastic provides the most grip and flexibility from a premium Innova plastic. It’s an all-season plastic but it really shines in wet and cold seasons. As far as durability, it ranks among our longest lasting plastics. GStar plastic is generally more understable than Champion and Star plastics. Great for: Anny forehands Force flex backhands

  9. The Innova Gummy Champion Toro provides raw overstable lines in a soft, flexy candy package. **Limited Run Disc How the Gummy Champion Toro feels: Moderate dome. Soft and bendy. Toro Flight Numbers: 4 / 2 / 1 / 3 How the Toro flies: The Toro was built to handle anything you put on it for short to medium length back hand or forehand shots. “Massive torque resistance,” is how Innova co-founder and disc inventor Dave Dunipace describes the Toro’s flight, which in layman’s terms means it’s an ox of a disc. Champion plastic is among Innova’s most durable plastics. Expect years of use with little change in flight characteristics. However, it is also among Innova’s least grippy plastics. In terms of stability, Champion plastic is among Innova’s most overstable plastics. Great for: Brute force medium length forehand and backhand drives and approaches. Headwind shots without a second thought. Short-distance S-curves.

  10. Like a speedier mid range, the Innova DX Ram charges to the green without a second thought. **Limited Run of Out of Production Disc How the Ram feels: Noticeable dome. Large diameter. Underside of rim has flattened edge.   Ram Flight Numbers: 6 / 4 / -1 / 4 How the Ram flies: In the mid 1990’s it wasn’t uncommon for Innova’s fairway drivers to be a lot bigger. In fact some like the Ram were the same size as today’s large diameter mid ranges. In the air, the overstable Ram flies like a faster midrange, but serves up extra helpings of mutton with its fade rating of 4. DX plastic Provides good all-around, all-weather grip at a very affordable price. It’s the least overstable of Innova plastics and has the shortest break-in time. Great for: Tweener control shots Mid length force flex shots

How this batch of Proto Glow Champion TeeBirds feel: Minimal to modest dome. Softer glow feel. Pink discs are a tad stiffer. More about the player: Jennifer Allen is one of the most powerful throwers on the tour. She made it plain for everyone to see in 2016 when she broke the women’s distance record with a 569 foot throw. In 2023, she also showed she can still hang with the youngsters after winning the DGPT Beaver State Fling, complete with an ace on Hole 1.
