  1. For overstable distance with a predictable finish, Calvin Heimburg goes with his Halo Star Destroyers every time. You should too. How this batch of Halo Star Destroyer feel: Noticeable dome typical of mold. Gobs of grip. More about the player: No matter the tournament, Calvin Heimburg is likely a favorite to win. Why? Because he has the complete game including big, accurate distance. Though he has yet to win his first major, Heimburg has owned the DGPT, winning 13 events including the Dynamic Discs Open and OTB Open last year. In 2023, he won the Ken Climo Player of the Year award. Plus, you can’t forget the DGPT Match Play Championship he took in 2021. More about the disc: If you’ve got plenty of power, it’s time you graduated to the Innova Destroyer. It’s the distance driver all others are judged by. The Halo edition comes with a touch more overstabilty and beautiful color contrast. Heimburg Quote: “The Halo Star Destroyer is my go-to forehand and backhand driver in all weather conditions.” Destroyer Flight Numbers: 12 / 5 / -1 / 3

  2. If the finesse game is not for you, just bulldoze your way to the green with the Innova Toro – the great feeling overstable mid range that’s sure to win-over power players in any arena. Olé! Olé! How this batch feels: A beadless and small diameter disc, the Toro, has the low profile and comfortable feel of a Rat. However, the Rim of the Toro is much beefier, as if it’s been hitting the gym. Innova Toro Flight numbers: 4 / 2 / 1 / 3 We haven’t had a disc with a High Speed Turn of +1 since the Viper was on the shelf. How it flies: Developed with the input of power player Calvin Heimburg, the Toro was built to handle anything you put on it for short to medium length back hand or forehand shots. “Massive torque resistance,” is how Innova co-founder and disc inventor Dave Dunipace describes the Toro’s flight, which in layman’s terms means it’s an ox of a disc. Star plastic: If you take the best qualities of all of Innova’s plastics and combine them into one plastic, you get the Star line. All skill levels. Pros, especially pack their bag with Star plastic. Best combination of grip, durability and performance.  Great for: Brute force medium length forehand and backhand drives and approaches. Headwind shots without a second thought. Short-distance S-curves. Slow-panning anhyzers. How will I throw it? Experienced players with big-time power will find an immediate spot for the Toro. Those with average and less power will use it for specific shots like the forehand (especially if other mid range discs turn over) or days with heavy winds.

It’s his first signature stock disc! How this batch feels: A beadless and small diameter disc, the Toro, has the low profile and comfortable feel of a Rat. It’s slow speed works ideally for shorter forehand approaches, especially in the wood, he says. The Toro disc is great for: Brute force medium length forehand and backhand drives and approaches.Headwind shots without a second thought.Short-distance S-curves.Slow-panning anhyzers. How will I throw it? 4. Dismantle a course in style with the Innova Halo Destroyer, the overstable distance driver with equal amounts beauty and brawn. **Notice: Halo effect will vary. How it feels: Wide rimmed distance driver that feels as serious as it flies. Most have a noticeable dome. Halo Destroyer Flight numbers: 12 / 5 / -1 / 3 How the Destroyer flies: Boom goes the dynamite. The Destroyer is a very fast, very overstable distance driver meant for advanced players. Thrown with the proper amount of power, the Destroyer disc flies straight followed by a slight turn for incredible distance until its mighty fade brings it back to the ground. It has no problems with headwinds and once beat in, you can expect even greater distance. Halo Star plastic: The unique two-tone injection process results in beautiful, high performing discs with a “Halo” rim that is a distinctly different color than the flight plate. As far as grip and durability, Halo Star exceeds that of Star plastic. They also have slightly more stability and glide than their Star counterparts. The Halo Star Destroyer is great for: Backhand or Forehand max distance drives Overhand shots Headwinds Monster hyzer and flex shots How will I throw it?: Beginners may want to hold off on the Halo Destroyer until their arm develops. Intermediate players should stick with lighter weights, which will still fade hard at flight’s end. They’ll find it useful for select situations like head winds or for must-hyzer back shots. Advanced players will see a slight turn at full power, but will still benefit from the formidable fade. They’ll see the most use of this disc.

  7. If you love the feel of the Roc, but still crave maximum overstability, then the Innova Champion RocX3 is meant for you. It’s got double the beef, but can still fly Roc smooth. How the RocX3 disc feels: It’s built with a low profile and sports the beefiest rim from a Roc related disc. Dome ranges from flat to noticeable. Bead on rim bottom. RocX3 Flight Numbers: 5 / 4 / 0 / 3.5 How the RocX3 flies: Loaded up with torque resistance, the RocX3 is the ideal candidate for take-no-prisoner blasts backhand or forehand. Give it a whirl and you'll quickly see that it's the most overstable disc in the Roc family tree. Great for headwinds and when you need to harness power. Champion plastic is among Innova’s most durable plastics. Expect years of use with little change in flight characteristics. However, it is also among Innova’s least grippy plastics. In terms of stability, Champion plastic is among Innova’s most overstable plastics. Great for: Medium length drives with a very overstable finish Forehand approaches and short drives Force flex backhands for the power thrower How will I throw it?: Beginner: We do not recommend this disc to newer players. Intermediate players may have issues controlling this fade heavy disc. Stick to lighter weights or DX plastic. Advanced players will make the most of the RocX3. Full send approved.

  10. If you’re a power player, the Champion Eagle really allows you to sink your claws into the course. Trust it with backhand or forehand throws when there’s a line that has to be hit. How it feels: Classic fairway driver feel with smaller rim. Most stock Eagles are available in the X mold, which has a small bead along rim. Champion Eagle Flight numbers: 7 / 4 / -1 / 3 Flight Path: The Eagle is an overstable fairway driver, that’s a notch less overstable than the Firebird. It can handle power and still remain true to the line it was thrown upon. Expect a noticeable fade with every throw long into its life. It’s a favorite among top pros for its day in, day out reliability and outstanding longevity, especially in premium plastics. Champion plastic: Provides the best durability of all Innova plastics and is among the most overstable as well. Champion’s main drawback is its grip in inclement weather. The Champion Eagle is great for: Backhand or Forehand power drives A trusty beat-in driver Headwinds Flex shots
