DGU Original Discs
- If there’s one player that embodies the wise yet still very deadly owl, it’s Nate Sexton. That’s why we’ve brought you this Birdie Hunter Halo Star XCaliber. Baskets and mice beware. **A DGU / OTB Two-Color Design Notice: Halo effect will vary How this batch of Halo XCaliber feels: Minimal to noticeable dome. Big on grip. More about the stamp: If you saw an owl flying around a disc golf course at night, you would think only one thing: That’s Nate Sexton transformed into an owl, flying around the course during his downtime. It just makes sense: Nate Sexton is a smart, well-spoken dude that knows exactly when to attack – just like an owl, (except for the well-spoken part. But owls sure can hoot, can’t they?). We got together with OTB Discs to bring you this must-have disc for the holidays. You’re welcome. More about the Halo XCaliber: The XCaliber disc is one of Innova’s meatiest, most overstable drivers reserved for the experienced player. Great disc for sidearm throwers and those with lots of power. Can handle just about any headwind.Close
- If there’s one player that embodies the wise yet still very deadly owl, it’s Nate Sexton. That’s why we’ve brought you this Birdie Hunter Halo Star Shryke. Baskets and mice beware. **A DGU / OTB Two-Color Design Notice: Halo effect will vary How this batch of Halo Shryke feels: Noticeable dome. Big time Halo grip. More about the Halo Shryke: This popular high-speed, max-glide distance driver is perfect for pinning down birdies. A mild high-speed turn—slightly less than the Star version—puts the Shryke in glide mode giving it great distance potential. Low speed fade is mild, allowing players to keep the Shryke in the fairway.Close
- From the pen of Jeremy Koling comes his wildest creation yet, a party-hard version of himself he’s calling Action Jackson, and it’s now featured prominently on this Halo Star Thunderbird. **A Two-Color Jeremy Koling Design Notice: Halo effect will vary How this batch of Halo Thunderbird feels: Noticeable dome. Serious Halo grip. More about the stamp: Ever gotten hold of a graphics program and started drawing a fairly accurate self-portrait, then proceeded to make it wilder and wilder? This is apparently what Jeremy Koling did. And what resulted was this Action Jackson design that’s full of mullet and mayhem. We partnered up with OTB Discs to bring you this magical disc just in time for the most sparkly season of the year. More about the Halo Thunderbird: A stable to overstable driver, the Thunderbird is predictable in wind and a great long range placement driver. It can be described as a seasoned Firebird with less fade.Close
- From the pen of Jeremy Koling comes his wildest creation yet, a party-hard version of himself he’s calling Action Jackson, and it’s now featured prominently on this Halo Star Wraith. **A Two-Color Jeremy Koling Design Notice: Halo effect will vary How this batch of Halo Wraith feels: Moderate to Noticeable dome. Smooth yet grippy. More about the Halo Wraith: The Innova Wraith is a long, stable to overstable distance driver. Released in 2005, the Wraith has not diminished in popularity. If anything, it has gotten more popular since it is so useful to so many skill levels. A real fan favorite, you’ll find a Wraith thrower at every course.Close
- DGU doubled down on the unconventional with the Unhinged Halo Star Wombat3. The design’s got so much crazy goodness, you won’t be able to take your eyes off it. **An Adam Coe 2-Color design Notice: Halo effect will vary. How this batch of Halo Star Wombat3 feel: Flat. Classic Halo grip. More about the stamp: After teaming up with artist Adam Coe, we’ve ventured into a new realm of the awesomely weird. With bugged out eyes that pierce your soul and a strand of drool that would make anyone nearby uneasy, this demented looking Wombat (which appears to have some Wookie in him) is so out there we’re confident you’ll never look at the Wombat the same again. “With the overexaggerate style I was aiming for, it only felt right to push the subject matter to be a bit ridiculous too,” said Coe, who hopes the disc gives everyone a good laugh each time they use it. Golden Nugget: That’s right. The well-worn sling shot in its paw is for slinging the creature’s cube-shaped excrement. *Part of DGU’s new Unhinged Series More about the Wombat3 disc: The Wombat3 flies straight and stays flying for a long time with its hefty glide. Anyone who struggles to remain on the straight and narrow should seek help from the Innova Wombat3. Halo discs typically have slightly more stability and glide than their Star counterpart.Close
- No need to squint your eyes in search of birdies. The Innova Space Force Galactic XT Gator3 will chomp through your obstacles and leave you with a clean scorecard. **A Marm O. Set 2-Color Design Notice: Amount of Galactic swirls and striations will vary How this batch of Gator3 disc feels: Super grippy XT feel. Moderate stiffness and softness. 170-172: pretty flat to minimal dome. Most discs 169 grams and below have noticeable dome. More about the stamp: Chart a course for the Gator constellation, a rare arrangement of stars that if seen prior to a disc golf event fortells good luck (Well, at least that’s how it goes in Disc Golf United lore). Since many of us have trouble seeing constellation figures in the sky (even made up ones), artist Marm O. Set did us a favor by filling in the connect-a-dot constellation lines to fully reveal our favorite swamp beast. More about the Innova Gator3 Disc: Much like its Gator cousin, the small diameter Gator3 has reliable overstability. However, the Gator3 has a touch less fade, making it easier to control. It still delivers excellent accuracy for shorter drives and approach shots. Ideal for forehands, spike hyzers, and sharp skips. Gator3 Flight Numbers: 5 / 2 / 0 / 3Close
- The Invader should be your approach workhorse. It is the ideal Putt & Approach disc for full powered throws both backhand and sidearm. It features a flat-top and small bead that creates a comfortable in-hand feel. The flatter top profile also reduces errant glide, allowing the player to power the disc to the correct distance for more control. Invade the circle from the fairway or the tee.Close
- If your disc golf game feels more like hand-to-hand combat, it’s time to arm yourself with the XT Space Invader disc. *** A Tony Diaz 3-Color Design How this batch of XT Invaders feel: Quite flat. Stiff. Supreme grip. More about the stamp: If you’re not invading, you’re fading. Now, that saying may not be as well-known as ‘You gotta risk it, to get the biscuit’ (mainly because we just made it up), but it has the same meaning and is particularly applicable with this Space Invader disc release which is an all-out assault (in a good way, of course) on your visual senses. Artist Tony Diaz puts you right in the middle of a space man vs space creature death match. But after looking at the melee for a minute, you might begin to wonder, which party is invading … Is it the human or the monster? Deep stuff, Tony. Deep stuff indeed. More about the disc: The Invader is one of our most versatile straight flying putt and approach discs. It also shines bright as a putter. Its moderate fade, even at low speed, makes keeping it on a line easy. XT Invader Flight Numbers: 3 / 2 / 0 / 1Close
