More about the event: The Charlotte Masters Championship is an annual event just for the greying disc golfers of the Queen City. TD Henry Childres says he runs the event each year to give back to all of the disc golfers who have given so much to the Charlotte scene. Artist Ashley Birrittier captures the light and humorous mood of many of the competitors with this take on Hugo, the classic logo mascot of the Charlotte Hornets, transforming him into an elderly insect complete with thick glasses and medical grade cane.
