More about the player: Nowadays most know Philo Brathwaite for his  fun and engaging commentary for pro tour coverage. Though Brathwaite has slowed down his competitive play the last few years, he has shown he can still hang with the best like when he won the US Masters in 2023. And, you can’t mention Brathwaite without mentioning his Albatross at the 2016 Beaver State Fling (Thrown with a Destroyer). He amazingly finished the 850-foot par 5 in only 2 throws. And, it was caught on tape during Central Coast Disc Golf’s coverage.  More about the disc: The Destroyer is a very fast, very overstable distance driver meant for advanced players. Thrown with the proper amount of power, the Destroyer disc flies straight followed by a slight turn for incredible distance until its mighty fade brings it back to the ground. You may not be able to throw as far as Jennifer Allen but you can share her control and accuracy with her Proto Glow Champion TeeBird. How this batch of Proto Glow Champion TeeBirds feel: Minimal to modest dome. Softer glow feel. Pink discs are a tad stiffer. More about the player: Jennifer Allen is one of the most powerful throwers on the tour. She made it plain for everyone to see in 2016 when she broke the women’s distance record with a 569 foot throw. A fan favorite for her 12+ years on tour, Allen has really shined in the masters division winning the US Masters in 2021 and winning the women’s masters division in the 2022 and 2023 USWDGC. In 2023,  she also showed she can still hang with the youngsters after winning the DGPT Beaver State Fling, complete with a ace on Hole 1. More about the disc: The TeeBird is perhaps the most reliable fairway driver for open to moderately wooded courses on the market. The Juliana Korver Proto Glow Halo Star Mamba is super consistent and will stay in top form for a very long time – just like the Disc Golf Hall of Famer herself. Notice: Halo effect will vary. How this batch of Proto Glow Halo Star Mamba feel: Noticeable dome. More about the player: From the late 1990’s to early 2000’s, Juliana Korver was THE woman to beat, winning 5 World Championships. Decades later she’s still a force in professional disc golf and she still largely competes in the Women’s Open division. Only a few years ago she tied for 3rd at the DGPT Portland Open in 2023. Wanna contend for birdies on every hole? Look to Emily Weatherman's Innova MoonDust Sidewinder to lead the way. How this batch of MoonDust Sidewinder feel: Noticeable dome. Somewhat stiffer blend. More about the player: Hailing from Texas, Emily Weatherman took to the Disc Golf Pro Tour early, winning her first event in 2024 and becoming the DGPT Rookie of the Year that same year. Look to her to become a consistent contender on tour. More about the disc: This disc can add distance to anyone’s drive, but it is especially useful for those with less power.
