  2. The Innova AviarX3 is the most overstable disc in the Aviar family tree and it’s the go-to approach disc for power player and forehand specialist Jeremy “Big Jerm” Koling. More about the AviarX3 in Big Jerm’s Words: “The AviarX3 is the disc I rely upon most in my bag. I use it for essentially every forehand and backhand approach inside 300 feet,” said Koling. He also says it’s great for: Out-of-position rescue shots Point and shoot flick rollers Stable flexing anhyzers Ultra-long panning overhead throws Disc Feel: “The flat flight plate provides a nice hand feel but it also eliminates unnecessary glide. This allows me to be more aggressive with my approaches while ultimately getting more bullseyes,” said Koling. A Mid Range in Putt & Approach Clothing: Don’t forget to use this beefy disc for moderate length drives and for headwind approaches. 2016 US Champ: One word best describes Jeremy Koling’s performance during the 2016 USDGC and that is: “Solid.” Solid putting Solid accuracy off the tee Solid mental game that minimized mistakes With a bullet proof performance like that, it’s no wonder Koling earned the biggest win of his career. Being a “major champion is something that I will have for the rest of my life and that means a lot to me,” said Koling after his win.

  4. Love the TeeBird, but wish it was a smidgen faster and had a touch less glide? You’re in luck because the Innova TeeBird3 is just that, but still has the same trusted turn and fade flight ratings as the original TeeBird. More about the TeeBird3: The flat flight plate promotes speed while reducing glide, effectively producing consistent, accurate flights. This is a point and shoot, target specific fairway driver. The Innova TeeBird3 is your go-to fairway driver for accurate shot-shaping. This I-Dye edition brings brilliant color variety to your bag. *Color/Pattern Will Be Picked At Random.

  6. No need to hold back with the Innova XT AviarX3. The most overstable Aviar will give you uber confidence in your approach game. How the XT AviarX3 disc feels: Low profile build and firm, flat flight plate make it nice and snug in the hand. Flat to board flat. AviarX3 Flight Numbers: 3 / 2 / 0 / 3 How the AviarX3 flies: The AviarX3 is an overstable putt and approach disc that’s essentially a mid range in putt & approach clothing. This beefy disc allows you to get aggressive with your backhand or forehand approaches without any second guessing -  headwinds included. Extend your accuracy for moderate length drives with the AviarX3 too. XT plastic: Firm with a tacky grip, XT is among Innova best plastics in terms of grip. As far as durability, XT is more durable than DX and most Pro plastics. Great for: Out-of-position rescue shots Point and shoot flick rollers Stable flexing anhyzers Ultra-long panning overhead throws How will I throw it?: Beginners: We don’t recommend this disc to beginners. Intermediate players without a developing forehand may struggle to control this disc. From up to 300 feet, Advanced players will see straight flights followed by a definitive fade. Great for controlled tee shots.

  7. The Innova XT Mako3 dials up the grip and dials in your straight shots for a mid range game you can count on. It’s the perfect disc for manageable fairway shots with very limited fade. How the Mako3 disc feels: The Mako3’s thin rim makes grip and release natural for any sized hands. And, after only a few throws your body will instinctively reach for it. Dome can range from pretty flat to noticeable. Mako3 Flight Numbers: 5 / 5 / 0 / 0 How the Mako3 flies: The Mako3 is a neutral flying large diameter mid range disc, and it is perhaps the easiest disc to fly straight from the get-go. It’s got excellent glide and minimal fade at flight’s end. For moderate conditions, especially in the woods, the Mako3 can easily be your most used disc for medium length drives and approaches. Very versatile, especially for any must-hit-gap shot. XT plastic: Firm with a tacky grip, XT is among Innova best plastics in terms of grip. As far as durability, XT is more durable than DX and most Pro plastics. And when it comes to stability, XT plastic is more understable than premium plastics. Great for: Consistently straight medium length drives and approaches Immediate hyzer flips One-disc rounds. How will I throw it?: Beginner to intermediate players will see straight flights with a moderate fade at flight’s end. As they become more accustomed to the disc, they will experience an even straighter finish. Advanced players will see straight flights with a moderate turn from the start and as it ages it will become more and more of a turnover disc.

  8. The Innova XT Aviar3 is a sleek approach disc that’s big on grip and landing within drop-in range. How the XT Aviar3 disc feels: Lower profile design. Comfortable grip without too much room. Dome ranges from pretty flat to noticeable. Aviar3 Flight Numbers: 3 / 2 / 0 / 2 How the Aviar3 flies: The Aviar3 is a stable to slightly overstable approach disc. Steady is a great word to describe its flight, even when ample power is deployed. Backhand or forehand, take your pick - the Aviar3 works equally well for short to midrange lengths. Plus, with its minimal glide, you can trust it to hit your landing zone. XT plastic: Firm with a tacky grip, XT is among Innova best plastics in terms of grip. As far as durability, XT is more durable than DX and most Pro plastics. Great for: Backhand and forehand approaches Long range and headwind putts Short drives off the tee How will I throw it?: Beginner to intermediate players will likely see flights with heavy fade at flight’s end. But their lines will straighten out, as they become more accustomed to it. Advanced players will see very straight flights with a hint of turn from approach shots and moderate turn from forehands.

The Innova 3 Series discs were launched in 2013 starting with the Roc3, Shark3, and Mako3. The idea behind the series was this: a flatter top and lower profile amounted to speedier discs that were less affected by the wind than their predecessors.

The catalyst of the series dates back to when the Innova design team was making a signature Roc for Paul McBeth. It was the third iteration of the Rancho Roc, hence Roc3. The idea behind the Roc3 paved the way for other models to follow.
