Founded in 1993 by Lavone Wolfe during the World Disc Golf Championships in Huntsville, Alabama, the World Disc Golf Hall of Fame (WDGHoF) honors individuals who have significantly contributed to the sport. The inaugural class included "Steady" Ed Headrick, the father of disc golf, among others.

As of 2022, candidates for induction must be at least 45 years old with a minimum of 15 years of active involvement in the sport. Inductees can be competitors with a record of high-level performance or contributors who have made significant impacts in areas like administration, course design, innovation, and promotion. New members are inducted annually through nominations and elections by current Hall of Fame members and are commemorated with a limited edition disc release. Here is the complete list of hall of famers.
