How this batch feels: A beadless and small diameter disc, the Toro, has the low profile and comfortable feel of a Rat. However, the Rim of the Toro is much beefier, as if it’s been hitting the gym. Innova Toro Flight numbers: 4 / 2 / 1 / 3 We haven’t had a disc with a High Speed Turn of +1 since the Viper was on the shelf. How it flies: Developed with the input of power player Calvin Heimburg, the Toro was built to handle anything you put on it for short to medium length back hand or forehand shots. “Massive torque resistance,” is how Innova co-founder and disc inventor Dave Dunipace describes the Toro’s flight, which in layman’s terms means it’s an ox of a disc. Star plastic: If you take the best qualities of all of Innova’s plastics and combine them into one plastic, you get the Star line. All skill levels. Pros, especially pack their bag with Star plastic. Best combination of grip, durability and performance.  Great for: Brute force medium length forehand and backhand drives and approaches. Headwind shots without a second thought. Short-distance S-curves. Slow-panning anhyzers. How will I throw it? Experienced players with big-time power will find an immediate spot for the Toro. Those with average and less power will use it for specific shots like the forehand (especially if other mid range discs turn over) or days with heavy winds.

If the Aviar and Polecat had a child, its name would be Xero. Stable, straight, and true, the Innova Xero is a perfect ten when it comes to dialing-in putts and threading your way to the green. Xero to Chains in Seconds Flat! The medium profile Xero has a similar look to an Aviar, but with a more compact feel and rounded rim that allows you to really sling this disc straight into the basket. For approach shots, this Innova putter with a bead on the rim behaves closely to a Polecat with its 0 glide and 0 fade. Watching this disc hyzer flip to straight is a thing of beauty. And anhyzer shots are just as pretty. It just hums along and does its thing. Mild conditions or in the woods are where this disc really shines. The Innova Champion Roc3 is the modern update to the popular Roc mid range disc. Slightly speedier and more overstable than the Roc, the Roc3 can handle just about any situation set before it. How the Roc3 disc feels: Built with a lower profile, the large diameter Roc3 has a fairly beefy rim for a mid range. Dome can range from flat to modest. Beaded rim bottom. Roc3 Flight Numbers: 5 / 4 / 0 / 3 How the Roc3 flies: It holds a line in a variety of wind conditions and has a predictable fade, making this an ideal 'Go-To' Mid-Range in almost any situation. Advanced players will love the versatility of this disc while newer players can rely on the consistent finish. Champion plastic is among Innova’s most durable plastics. Expect years of use with little change in flight characteristics. However, it is also among Innova’s least grippy plastics. In terms of stability, Champion plastic is among Innova’s most overstable plastics. Great for: Medium length drives with an overstable finish Forehand approaches Force flex backhands How will I throw it?: Beginner: We do not recommend this disc to newer players. Intermediate players will see good results in lighter weights or more understable plastics like DX. Advanced players will be able to throw full power and not be disappointed.

Give the course and the competition a real scare with the far flying Innova Blizzard Champion Beast. It’s available in lighter weights so more players can go deep. How the Beast disc feels: Wider rim, but not as wide was the Wraith or Destroyer. Most discs have noticeable dome. Blizzard Beast Flight Numbers: 10 / 5 / -2 / 2 How the Beast flies: Don’t let the name scare you off, the stable to understable Beast is one of the more accessible distance drivers in the Innova stable. A pioneering wide-rimmed driver, the Beast has big glide and moderate fade for smooth ‘S’ shots when thrown anhyzer and is still able to hold a line when needed. Can handle mild to moderate winds. Blizzard Champion plastic: By infusing tightly bound air bubbles into Champion plastic, maximum distance drivers can be made in seriously light plastics – which are much easier for less powerful players to throw far. Part of Innova’s Champion plastic family, Blizzard is among Innova’s most durable plastics. However, it is also among Innova’s least grippy plastics. Great for: Beginners & less powerful players Open hole smashes Clean forehand lines A more understable substitute for a Wraith or Charger How will I throw it?: Beginner: Newer players will have good luck throwing this disc right away. Expect moderate fade at flight’s end, especially in the lightest weights. Intermediate players will really make this disc hum and even see some turnover potential. Advanced players will, in many cases, overpower this disc.
