More about the disc: This disc can add distance to anyone’s drive, but it is especially useful for those with less power. The Sidewinder is our best disc for long turnover shots and long-distance rollers. With the unique MoonDust formula, these discs have a rare gem like appearance.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 5 / -3 / 1
Obstacles seems to wither away with the Rasmus Saukkoriipi Proto Glow Champion Toro from Innova.

The Innova Star Racer has a knack for chasing down birdies. Watch em’ pile up after throwing this distance driver that’s got speed and super-sized glide.
How the Star Racer feels: Wider rim, similar in size to the Tern. Signature feature has to be the nose’s outer bead. Disc ranges from minimal to noticeable dome.
Star Racer Flight numbers: 12 / 6 / -1 / 2
How it flies: ‘Seasoned Destroyer’ is something you hear a bunch when it comes to the Racer. After a flat release, watch it speed down the fairway. But instead of it fading hard like a Destroyer, the Racer stays pretty straight, especially for average arms. Eventually the fade kicks in, but not before it’s sailed a long way. Another term you hear a lot with the Racer is glide. This disc just doesn’t want to come back to the ground.
Forehand: Give it a shot. Flat release results in a modest turnover flight that finds fade at the end. A moderate hyzer release produces hzyer flip flight.
Star plastic: If you take the best qualities of all of Innova’s plastics and combine them into one plastic, you get the Star line. Grip. Performance. Durability. It’s all included in Star plastic. Though not as overstable as Champion, it still has enough bite to handle your full-send heaves. It’s the preferred plastic for drivers.
The Racer is great for:
When you want Destroyer performance, but without Destroyer beef.
When you need that 10 extra feet of glide
Predictable distance and fade
Long hyzers
How will I throw it? In lighter weights, beginners and intermediate players can see some real dividends. Intermediates will experience straight, long flights. Advanced level players will be able to make the big ‘S’ flight and hzyer flips look routine, but may overpower it on occasion.

Consider the Innova Star Gorgon – an easy throwing, understable distance driver – your shield against hideous bogey monsters.
How the Star Gorgon feels: Easy to grip and release. Rim is thinner than other distance drivers and its underside is also flatter. All in all, it’s a distance driver in fairway driver clothing. Most have noticeable dome.
Star Gorgon Flight numbers: 10 / 6 / -2 / 1
How it flies: With a flat release, amid mild conditions, most players will find the Gorgon travels smoothly (300 to 350+) with an easy turn and a fade that’s present, but not overly so. The disc facilitates any release angle including anhyzers that seem to sail forever. Great as a distance gainer for less powerful throwers.
“It's similar to a speed 10 version of the Leopard3 or Hawkeye. Very controllable fairway driver like flight in a distance driver,” said Innova General Manager Kobyn Dunipace.
Forehand: For those with moderate forehand power, the Gorgon will fit right in your bag with long, straight flights with modest turn. Those with noticeable power will find it flippy.
The Gorgon is great for:
When you want distance driver speed but not distance driver fade
Throwing anhyzers that don’t fight against you
Players that don’t like super wide rims
Those needing a longer fairway driver
Lengthy low ceiling shots
How will I throw it? In lighter weights, this disc could come in handy for beginners looking to tack on distance. Intermediate players will really benefit from this disc’s turning ease. For advance or power throwers, the Gorgon would likely be limited to specific turnover situations.

The Innova Star Shark is a stable mid range disc that has as many purposes as its namesake has teeth (which is a lot). Great all-around disc for medium length shots for all disc golfers.
How it feels: Beadless. Classic mid range feel. Nothing to gripe about here. Most have at least a modest amount of dome.
Shark Flight numbers: 4 / 4 / 0 / 2
How the Shark flies: The Shark is a stable to overstable large diameter mid range disc. Innova Co-founder and Disc Inventor Dave Dunipace designed it to be a less overstable Roc, which means it can stretch out for longer flights and it makes hzyer and anhyzer lines easier to execute. That said, it still has enough fade to keep the ending of its flight predictable. At the appropriate weight, it’s a useful mid range for any skilled player, even beginners.
VTech Pioneer: The origins of Innova’s VTech technology have been around since the Shark was created in 1989. VTech discs have a convex shaped rim which helps with torque resistance (longer, straighter flights) and minimal fade for flatter landings.
Star plastic Star plastic gives the best of both worlds: incredible durability while maintaining a grippy feel in the hand. In terms of stability it sits in between DX and Champion.
The Star Shark is great for:
Those looking for new disc that flies like a beat-in Roc
Medium length straight shots with a noticeable fade ending
Dutiful hyzers
Turnover anhyzers when seasoned
How will I throw it?: Beginners will see straight-ish flights in lighter weights with a noticeable fade a flight’s end. Intermediates will see straighter flights with less of a fade dump and will be able to perform anhyzer lines. Advanced players will be able to construct various lines with moderate to minimal fade.

The Innova Star Rollo puts the roller shot in the hands of … everyone! With its easy handling and automatic turnover flight, even those with less power can perform sure fire rollers and automatic anhyzers right out of the box.How this Large Diameter Mid Range disc feels: Beaded. Fairly flat. It’s like a cross between a Stingray and a Wombat3.Star Rollo Flight numbers: 5 / 6 / -4 / 1How it flies: Gone are the days of waiting to break-in that perfect understable disc. Just put some pop on a flat release and sure enough, The Rollo dives into a roll as advertised. Add some hyzer on it and, poof, you’ve got instant hyzer flips. If you’ve struggled to find a late turning disc, this could be it. Just apply ample hzyer and you’re golden. AM’s will love this disc not only for its rolling abilities, but also for its ability to get out of trouble when space is tight in the woods.Great for:Those without a sidearmLow ceiling shotsThose who haven’t had much luck with the roller in the pastStandstill scramblesHow will I throw it? This disc is not made for big power throwers. However, those with low to average power will feel like this disc was made exactly for them. Give it a try and you’ll find that all of a sudden you have a roller shot to add to your repertoire. Just remember, if you can’t get there by air, Rollo it!

If the finesse game is not for you, just bulldoze your way to the green with the Innova Toro – the great feeling overstable mid range that’s sure to win-over power players in any arena. Olé! Olé!
How this batch feels: A beadless and small diameter disc, the Toro, has the low profile and comfortable feel of a Rat. However, the Rim of the Toro is much beefier, as if it’s been hitting the gym.
Innova Toro Flight numbers: 4 / 2 / 1 / 3
We haven’t had a disc with a High Speed Turn of +1 since the Viper was on the shelf.
How it flies: Developed with the input of power player Calvin Heimburg, the Toro was built to handle anything you put on it for short to medium length back hand or forehand shots. “Massive torque resistance,” is how Innova co-founder and disc inventor Dave Dunipace describes the Toro’s flight, which in layman’s terms means it’s an ox of a disc.
Star plastic: If you take the best qualities of all of Innova’s plastics and combine them into one plastic, you get the Star line. All skill levels. Pros, especially pack their bag with Star plastic. Best combination of grip, durability and performance.
Great for:
Brute force medium length forehand and backhand drives and approaches.
Headwind shots without a second thought.
Short-distance S-curves.
Slow-panning anhyzers.
How will I throw it? Experienced players with big-time power will find an immediate spot for the Toro. Those with average and less power will use it for specific shots like the forehand (especially if other mid range discs turn over) or days with heavy winds.
