  1. Grip like no other and super flexible, the Innova Soft Pro Toro is a delight to hold and throw. How it feels: A beadless and small diameter disc, the Toro, has the low profile and comfortable feel of a Rat. However, the rim of the Toro is much beefier. Most are pretty flat. Innova Toro Flight numbers:  4 / 2 / 1 / 3 How the Toro flies: The Toro was built to handle anything you put on it for short to medium length backhand or forehand shots. “Massive torque resistance,” is how Innova co-founder and disc inventor Dave Dunipace describes the Toro’s flight, which in layman’s terms means it’s an ox of a disc. Soft Pro plastic: This plastic is so flexy and gummy is Gumby is jealous (remember him?). Best in terms of grip for all Innova plastics, but among our least durable plastics. Ideal for cold and wet rounds. Grabs chains better too. The Toro is great for: Brute force medium length forehand and backhand drives and approaches. Headwind shots without a second thought. Slow-panning anhyzers. How will I throw it?: Beginners: We don’t recommend this disc for newer players. Intermediate players will see fairly straight mid length shots followed by heavy fade. They should stick to lighter weights unless they’ve already got a cannon for an arm. Advanced players have the green light to put everything they have on this disc and still count on a strong fade finish.

  2. If the Aviar and Polecat had a child, its name would be Xero. Stable, straight, and true, the Innova Xero is a perfect ten when it comes to dialing-in putts and threading your way to the green. Xero to Chains in Seconds Flat! The medium profile Xero has a similar look to an Aviar, but with a more compact feel and rounded rim that allows you to really sling this disc straight into the basket. For approach shots, this Innova putter with a bead on the rim behaves closely to a Polecat with its 0 glide and 0 fade. Watching this disc hyzer flip to straight is a thing of beauty. And anhyzer shots are just as pretty. It just hums along and does its thing. Mild conditions or in the woods are where this disc really shines. Choose Xero When it comes to Innova Putters, there are several to choose from, but make sure you put the Innova Xero high on your list.

  3. Give the course and the competition a real scare with the far flying Innova Blizzard Champion Beast. It’s available in lighter weights so more players can go deep. How the Beast disc feels: Wider rim, but not as wide was the Wraith or Destroyer. Most discs have noticeable dome. Blizzard Beast Flight Numbers: 10 / 5 / -2 / 2 How the Beast flies: Don’t let the name scare you off, the stable to understable Beast is one of the more accessible distance drivers in the Innova stable. A pioneering wide-rimmed driver, the Beast has big glide and moderate fade for smooth ‘S’ shots when thrown anhyzer and is still able to hold a line when needed. Can handle mild to moderate winds. Blizzard Champion plastic: By infusing tightly bound air bubbles into Champion plastic, maximum distance drivers can be made in seriously light plastics – which are much easier for less powerful players to throw far. Part of Innova’s Champion plastic family, Blizzard is among Innova’s most durable plastics. However, it is also among Innova’s least grippy plastics. Great for: Beginners & less powerful players Open hole smashes Clean forehand lines A more understable substitute for a Wraith or Charger How will I throw it?: Beginner: Newer players will have good luck throwing this disc right away. Expect moderate fade at flight’s end, especially in the lightest weights. Intermediate players will really make this disc hum and even see some turnover potential. Advanced players will, in many cases, overpower this disc.

  4. Fairways don't seem so tight when you have the straight flying Innova Champion Mako3 – the incredibly useful mid range disc that’ll take over your bag. How the Mako3 disc feels: The Mako3’s thin rim makes grip and release natural for any sized hands. And, after only a few throws your body will instinctively reach for it. Dome can range from pretty flat to noticeable. Champion Mako3 Flight Numbers: 5 / 5 / 0 / 0 How the Mako3 flies: The Mako3 is a neutral flying large diameter mid range disc, and it is perhaps the easiest disc to fly straight from the get-go. It’s got excellent glide and minimal fade at flight’s end. For moderate conditions, especially in the woods, the Mako3 can easily be your most used disc for medium length drives and approaches. Very versatile, especially for any must-hit-gap shot. Champion plastic is among Innova’s most durable plastics. Expect years of use with little change in flight characteristics. However, it is also among Innova’s least grippy plastics. In terms of stability, Champion plastic is among Innova’s most overstable plastics. Great for: Consistently straight medium length drives and approaches Immediate hyzer flips One-disc rounds. How will I throw it?: Beginner to intermediate players will see straight flights with a moderate fade at flight’s end. As they become more accustomed to the disc, they will experience an even straighter finish. Advanced players will see very straight flights from the start and as it ages it will become more and more of a turnover disc.
