Turn down the overstability of the Firebird a notch with the grippy and flexy Innova GStar Firebird.
How it feels: The Firebird’s medium sized rim allows for a comfortable fit for any sized hand. Dome ranges from modest to noticeable.
Firebird Flight numbers: 9 / 3 / 0 / 4
Flight Path: Thrown flat with enough power, the overstable Firebird will fly straight for short to medium length drives until its strong fade hooks it to the ground. Excellent control driver for those overpowering other drivers. *A sidearm dominant player approved disc.
GStar plastic: GStar plastic provides the most grip and flexibility from a premium Innova plastic. Really shines in wet and cold weather. Not quite as durable as Star, Champion, or Halo, but not as overstable either.
The Innova Firebird is great for:
Forehand Power drives
Big backhand hyzers
Powering through Headwinds
Overhand hammers and thumbers
Skip shots
Forced anhyzers once seasoned

How will I throw it?: Beginners: We do not recommend this disc to newer players. Intermediate players should be able to handle a GStar Firebird, especially in a lighter weight. Advanced players will make the most of the disc and its array of uses, even for the occasional flex anhyzer.

Big glide is the Innova Champion Tern’s calling card, which means you don’t have to break your back to throw this maximum distance driver far.How it feels: Noticeable dome. Wider rim, but not difficult to grasp.Flight numbers: 12 / 6 / -2 / 2 (the Champion Tern is a notch more overstable than Terns in other plastics.)How the Champion Tern flies: The Tern is a fast, slightly understable driver that’s born to make tight ‘S’ styled shots. What’s great about the Tern, is that you don’t have to have incredible power to throw it far. Just throw it flat or with a tiny bit of hyzer and its glide and natural turn will take it from there.Great for: Hyzer flip bombs.Extremely long turnovers.Maximum distance standstill shotsTailwind drivesHow will I throw it? Amateur players will love the Tern. Once you find a weight that agrees with you, you’ll never take it out of your bag. It’s got the perfect amount of understability for medium strength arms to really crank it, but has enough fade to keep it in play. The Tern is still a viable option for those with big arm speed and you’ll see those players making effortless turnovers with the disc.
