If there’s one guy you should buy a TeeBird from it’s Väinö Mäkelä. He’s a TeeBird fanatic, and his Tour Series Innova Star TeeBird is a real keeper.  How this batch of Star TeeBird feels: Pretty flat to Modest dome. Since 2022 Mäkelä has spent the majority of his tour season in the U.S. with several respectable finishes including a top five finish at the 2024 USDGC. Awesome moustache too! One of Innova's most popular discs among pros, it is stable at high speeds and slightly overstable at lower speeds. A great all around, goes where you throw it golf disc. Good into the wind. This is one disc that gets better as it ages.

Reach for the GStar Destroyer if you want a Destroyer that’s grippy, flexy, and easier to control than Destroyers in other plastics. How it feels: Wide rimmed distance driver that feels as serious as it flies. Flight plate can range from fairly flat to a noticeable dome. GStar Destroyer Flight numbers: 12 / 5 / -1 / 3 How the Destroyer flies: Boom goes the dynamite. The Destroyer is a very fast, very overstable distance driver meant for advanced players. Thrown with the proper amount of power, the Destroyer disc flies straight followed by a slight turn for incredible distance until its mighty fade brings it back to the ground. It has no problems with headwinds and once beat in, you can expect even greater distance. GStar plastic: GStar plastic provides the most grip and flexibility from a premium Innova plastic. It’s an all-season plastic but it really shines in wet and cold seasons. As far as durability, it ranks among our longest lasting plastics. Try the GStar Destroyer! The Shryke is an easy to throw, very long range driver for a wide variety of players. A mild high speed turn puts the Shryke in glide mode, which along with its high aerodynamic speed, give it incredible distance. The low speed fade is also mild, which makes it easy to keep on the fairway. The Shryke is similar to our popular Tern but faster and slightly more high speed stable.

Everyone’s first fairway driver. Useful for long straight shots, gentle hyzers and turnover shots. Extended life as a roller.

The Orc is a great 'Go-To' distance driver with amazing glide and dependable fade. Suitable for powerful throwers, but still manageable for beginners in lighter weights.

Give the course and the competition a real scare with the far flying Innova Blizzard Champion Beast. It’s available in lighter weights so more players can go deep. How the Beast disc feels: Wider rim, but not as wide was the Wraith or Destroyer. Most discs have noticeable dome. Blizzard Beast Flight Numbers: 10 / 5 / -2 / 2 How the Beast flies: Don’t let the name scare you off, the stable to understable Beast is one of the more accessible distance drivers in the Innova stable. A pioneering wide-rimmed driver, the Beast has big glide and moderate fade for smooth ‘S’ shots when thrown anhyzer and is still able to hold a line when needed. Can handle mild to moderate winds. Blizzard Champion plastic: By infusing tightly bound air bubbles into Champion plastic, maximum distance drivers can be made in seriously light plastics – which are much easier for less powerful players to throw far. Part of Innova’s Champion plastic family, Blizzard is among Innova’s most durable plastics. However, it is also among Innova’s least grippy plastics. Great for: Beginners & less powerful players Open hole smashes Clean forehand lines A more understable substitute for a Wraith or Charger How will I throw it?: Beginner: Newer players will have good luck throwing this disc right away. Expect moderate fade at flight’s end, especially in the lightest weights. Intermediate players will really make this disc hum and even see some turnover potential. Advanced players will, in many cases, overpower this disc.

If you’re a power player, the Champion Eagle really allows you to sink your claws into the course. Trust it with backhand or forehand throws when there’s a line that has to be hit. How it feels: Classic fairway driver feel with smaller rim. Most stock Eagles are available in the X mold, which has a small bead along rim. Champion Eagle Flight numbers: 7 / 4 / -1 / 3 Flight Path: The Eagle is an overstable fairway driver, that’s a notch less overstable than the Firebird. It can handle power and still remain true to the line it was thrown upon. Expect a noticeable fade with every throw long into its life. It’s a favorite among top pros for its day in, day out reliability and outstanding longevity, especially in premium plastics. Champion plastic: Provides the best durability of all Innova plastics and is among the most overstable as well. Champion’s main drawback is its grip in inclement weather. Big glide is the Innova Champion Tern’s calling card, which means you don’t have to break your back to throw this maximum distance driver far.How it feels: Noticeable dome. Wider rim, but not difficult to grasp.Flight numbers: 12 / 6 / -2 / 2 (the Champion Tern is a notch more overstable than Terns in other plastics.)How the Champion Tern flies: The Tern is a fast, slightly understable driver that’s born to make tight ‘S’ styled shots. What’s great about the Tern, is that you don’t have to have incredible power to throw it far. Amateur players will love the Tern. Once you find a weight that agrees with you, you’ll never take it out of your bag. The Tern is still a viable option for those with big arm speed and you’ll see those players making effortless turnovers with the disc.
