How the Destroyer flies: The Destroyer is a very fast, very overstable distance driver meant for advanced players. Thrown with the proper amount of power, the Destroyer disc flies straight followed by a slight turn for incredible distance until its mighty fade brings it back to the ground. Eveliina does it! The Innova Star Racer has a knack for chasing down birdies. Watch em’ pile up after throwing this distance driver that’s got speed and super-sized glide. How the Star Racer feels: Wider rim, similar in size to the Tern. Signature feature has to be the nose’s outer bead. Disc ranges from minimal to noticeable dome. Star Racer Flight numbers: 12 / 6 / -1 / 2 How it flies: ‘Seasoned Destroyer’ is something you hear a bunch when it comes to the Racer. After a flat release, watch it speed down the fairway. But instead of it fading hard like a Destroyer, the Racer stays pretty straight, especially for average arms. Eventually the fade kicks in, but not before it’s sailed a long way. Another term you hear a lot with the Racer is glide. This disc just doesn’t want to come back to the ground. Forehand: Give it a shot. Flat release results in a modest turnover flight that finds fade at the end. A moderate hyzer release produces hzyer flip flight. Star plastic: If you take the best qualities of all of Innova’s plastics and combine them into one plastic, you get the Star line. Grip. Performance. Durability. It’s all included in Star plastic. Though not as overstable as Champion, it still has enough bite to handle your full-send heaves. It’s the preferred plastic for drivers. The Racer is great for: When you want Destroyer performance, but without Destroyer beef. When you need that 10 extra feet of glide Predictable distance and fade Long hyzers How will I throw it? In lighter weights, beginners and intermediate players can see some real dividends. Intermediates will experience straight, long flights. Advanced level players will be able to make the big ‘S’ flight and hzyer flips look routine, but may overpower it on occasion.

The XD has a low profile, thin rim which promotes a secure grip and an easy, natural release. These features combined with straight flight characteristics make the XD an easy to throw and control disc. It is the most driver-like putter we have and is useful for putts, drives and approach shots. Good disc for developing a “touch” around the basket.

The Star Croc is the most overstable midrange to hit the lineup to date. Similar to the Gator, but with an aggressive concave wing and no bead. Previously only featured in the USDGC Pro Shop, the Star Croc is available now as part of a limited production run.

The TeeRex is a fast, stable to overstable power driver with significant glide. Resistance to turn at high speeds means this disc will perform well into the wind. TeeRex offers the flight of the TeeBird with the speed of the Wraith. Recommended for professional level players and those that throw at high speeds. The TeeRex is a great distance disc for windy conditions and sidearm throwers.

The Coyote is a larger diameter mid-range disc with good glide that flies predictably for straight, gentle turnover, or hyzer shots. It holds a soft flight line and has a friendly grip that makes it easy to throw and release. The Coyote is an excellent disc for many types of long or short approach shots, short drives, roller shots, and even short range putts. A great choice for beginners, intermediates and pros using only one disc.

Consider the Innova Star Gorgon – an easy throwing, understable distance driver – your shield against hideous bogey monsters. How the Star Gorgon feels: Easy to grip and release. Rim is thinner than other distance drivers and its underside is also flatter. All in all, it’s a distance driver in fairway driver clothing. Most have noticeable dome. Star Gorgon Flight numbers: 10 / 6 / -2 / 1 How it flies: With a flat release, amid mild conditions, most players will find the Gorgon travels smoothly (300 to 350+) with an easy turn and a fade that’s present, but not overly so. The disc facilitates any release angle including anhyzers that seem to sail forever. Great as a distance gainer for less powerful throwers. “It's similar to a speed 10 version of the Leopard3 or Hawkeye. Shine a little light on your short game with the Innova Star Firefly putt and approach disc. How it feels. Beadless. Flat. Deeper in the hand than the Aviar. Fairly stiff. Smooth Star plastic. How the Firefly flies: The Firefly is a stable to overstable putter that will provide consistent flight in most all conditions. Similar to the Aviar Putt & Approach disc, but a tad more overstable and wind resistant. The Charger is a straight-finishing, 13-speed driver that can be thrown at full power without worrying about the disc flipping over. The Charger fills a gap between the Destroyer and the Shryke. For players looking for the consistency of the Destroyer with less fade, try the Charger. For those looking for the big distance of the Shryke, but in a disc that can better handle the wind, try the Charger.

The Innova Star Shark is a stable mid range disc that has as many purposes as its namesake has teeth (which is a lot). Great all-around disc for medium length shots for all disc golfers. How it feels: Beadless. Classic mid range feel. Nothing to gripe about here. Most have at least a modest amount of dome. Shark Flight numbers: 4 / 4 / 0 / 2 How the Shark flies: The Shark is a stable to overstable large diameter mid range disc. Innova Co-founder and Disc Inventor Dave Dunipace designed it to be a less overstable Roc, which means it can stretch out for longer flights and it makes hzyer and anhyzer lines easier to execute. That said, it still has enough fade to keep the ending of its flight predictable. At the appropriate weight, it’s a useful mid range for any skilled player, even beginners. VTech Pioneer: The origins of Innova’s VTech technology have been around since the Shark was created in 1989. VTech discs have a convex shaped rim which helps with torque resistance (longer, straighter flights) and minimal fade for flatter landings.
