Since 2022 Mäkelä has spent the majority of his tour season in the U.S. with several respectable finishes including a top five finish at the 2024 USDGC. Awesome moustache too! More about the disc: The TeeBird is perhaps the most reliable fairway driver for open to moderately wooded courses on the market.   9. Get the birdie party stared right with Kevin Jones’ Innova Luster Champion Max. This disc really knows how to lay a beat … down. How this batch of Luster Max feels: Minimal dome. Handy Luster grip. More about the player: Already a well known name on tour, Jones joined Team Innova midway through the 2024 season, bringing his podium experience and clutch play. Last year, he had a top five finish at the Ledgestone, but he’s probably best known for his 2020 DGPT Championship win. Off the course, he Rocs the house with his DJ skills (hence the stereo themed stamp). More about the disc: With a fade of 5 (the most for an Innova disc) and a minimal glide of 3, the Star Max is the closest you can come to throwing a PDGA approved cinder block. How this batch of Eagle L feels: Pretty flat to Modest dome. Softer feel. More about the player: A rising star from Canada, Donnecke has won the British Columbia Open back to back. However, you’ll mostly see her in the U.S. during the season making impressive runs including a podium finish at the 2024 DGPT Portland Open. More about the disc: Just like how the TL is a straighter more understable version of the TeeBird, the beadles Eagle L is a straighter less fade heavy version of the Eagle.   11. Make the most of your distance opportunities with the Dennis Augustsson Proto Glow Halo Champion Gorgon from Innova. How this batch of Proto Glow Champion Toro feels: Noticeable dome. Softer feel. More about the player: A touring pro since 2021, lefty Dennis Augustsson, of Sweeden, is another younger player on the move. Playing mostly in Europe with the occasional visit to the States, Augustsson’s biggest win came at the 2023 European Disc Golf Championships. More about the disc: With a flat release, amid mild conditions, most players will find the Gorgon travels smoothly with an easy turn and a fade that’s present, but not overly so. The disc facilitates any release angle including anhyzers that seem to sail forever. Flight Numbers: 10 / 6 / -2 / 1
