How the Destroyer flies: Boom goes the dynamite. The Destroyer is a very fast, very overstable distance driver meant for advanced players. Thrown with the proper amount of power, the Destroyer disc flies straight followed by a slight turn for incredible distance until its mighty fade brings it back to the ground. It has no problems with headwinds and once beat in, you can expect even greater distance. Star plastic: This is the plastic the Destroyer won the world over with and what you'll find in the bag of countless professional disc golfers. Star plastic gives you incredible durability while maintaining a grippy feel in the hand. The Star Destroyer is the most popular version of the disc and provides an immediate impact upon the course. Other understable discs require beat-in time to achieve the desired turnover flight. Not the case here. The It is ready to fill that flippy spot from throw one. The It is great for: Turnovers that stay turned Effortless Hyzer Flips Standstill shots Rollers How will I throw it?: Beginner and intermediate players will have an easy time throwing the It straight or even anhyzer. Great first disc, even in more overstable premium plastics. Advanced players will likely overpower this disc, but it could be their go-to finesse driver in max weight or in the more overstable Champion plastic.

And, after only a few throws your body will instinctively reach for it. Dome can range from pretty flat to noticeable. How the Mako3 flies: The Mako3 is a neutral flying large diameter mid range disc, and it is perhaps the easiest disc to fly straight from the get-go. It’s got excellent glide and minimal fade at flight’s end. For moderate conditions, especially in the woods, the Mako3 can easily be your most used disc for medium length drives and approaches. Very versatile, especially for any must-hit-gap shot. Star plastic: If you take the best qualities of all of Innova’s plastics and combine them into one plastic, you get the Star line. All skill levels. Pros, especially pack their bag with Star plastic. Best combination of grip, durability and performance.  Great for: Consistently straight medium length drives and approaches Immediate hyzer flips One-disc rounds. How the Roadrunner flies: The Roadrunner is a very understable fairway driver. It produces a reliable straight or hyzer flip flight for those with less power or an easy-to-throw anhyzer or roller for those with bigger arms. Simply put, the Roadrunner disc does more with less than any other disc on the planet. Star plastic: If you take the best qualities of all of Innova’s plastics and combine them into one plastic, you get the Star line. All skill levels. Pros, especially pack their bag with Star plastic. How it feels: A beadless and small diameter disc, the Toro, has the low profile and comfortable feel of a Rat. However, the rim of the Toro is much beefier. Most are pretty flat. How the Toro flies: The Toro was built to handle anything you put on it for short to medium length backhand or forehand shots. “Massive torque resistance,” is how Innova co-founder and disc inventor Dave Dunipace describes the Toro’s flight, which in layman’s terms means it’s an ox of a disc. Star plastic: Star plastic gives the best of both worlds: incredible durability while maintaining a grippy feel in the hand. It’s the plastic pros choose for drivers. The Toro is great for: Brute force medium length forehand and backhand drives and approaches. Headwind shots without a second thought. Slow-panning anhyzers. How will I throw it?: Beginners: We don’t recommend this disc for newer players. Intermediate players will see fairly straight mid length shots followed by heavy fade. They should stick to lighter weights unless they’ve already got a cannon for an arm. Advanced players have the green light to put everything they have on this disc and still count on a strong fade finish.

How it feels: It’s a wide rimmed distance driver that feels quite similar to the Destroyer, though the rim is a tad thinner. Most have a noticeable dome. Wraith Flight numbers: 11 / 5 / -1 / 3 More on I-Dye: Our I-Dye process gives you eye-popping colors and patterns without the trouble of dyeing discs yourself or sending your prized discs to someone else. **Most dramatic dyed Star discs we’ve seen in the warehouse! How the Wraith flies: The Innova Wraith is a long, stable to overstable distance driver. Released in 2005, the Wraith has not diminished in popularity. If anything, it has gotten more popular since it is so useful to so many skill levels. A real fan favorite no matter if you’re backhand or forehand dominant. Star plastic: Star plastic gives the best of both worlds: incredible durability while maintaining a grippy feel in the hand. It’s the plastic pros choose for drivers. The Star Wraith is great for: Controlled distance drives Sidearm blasts Headwinds Tailwind driver How will I throw it? Beginners may have trouble with the Wraith’s fade rating of 3. However, intermediate players who have come into their own can really bust loose some ultra long anhyzer flex shots with this disc in lighter weights, including for forehands. Advanced players will love crushing drives with this disc and will probably buy several.
