  1. Innova Jay - Champion Mid Range DiscThe Innova Jay makes must-have straight shots routine. With mild fade at the flight’s end, this point and shoot disc will have you routinely nesting upon the green. How it feels: The Jay is a low profile, large diameter mid range with a microbead on the rim. It’s got a flat flight plate that feels right at home in your hand. **The Champion Jay is slightly stiffer than the Star edition.Flight numbers: 5 / 4 / 0 / 1How it flies: If you like frozen ropes with a gradual fade make some room in your bag for the Jay. It’s similar to the Lion or Shark, but with less of an overstable bite at the end. The Jay follows the line you put it on no matter which way you release it.“If you like point and shoot and you don’t want to beat the snot out of your Roc3 to get it. Out of the box you got it right here,” said disc creator Dave Dunipace. How will I throw it? Thrown flat, intermediate disc golfers will experience a dependable, gentle fade after a significantly straight flight. Power throwers will experience similarly straight flights but with a mild turn midway through.Choose this disc: If you are trying to fill a certain hole in your bag between a Roc3 and Mako3 then the Jay is your bird.

  2. Make your fairway game a bit more flexible with the grippy, gummy and understable Innova GStar Roadrunner. How it feels: Slender fairway style rim. Easy to grip and release. Most have at least a modest amount of dome. GStar Roadrunner Flight numbers: 9 / 5 / -4 / 1 How the Roadrunner flies: The Roadrunner is a very understable fairway driver. It produces a reliable straight or hyzer flip flight for those with less power or an easy-to-throw anhyzer or roller for those with bigger arms. Simply put, the Roadrunner disc does more with less than any other disc on the planet. GStar plastic: GStar plastic provides the most grip and flexibility from a premium Innova plastic. It’s an all-season plastic but it really shines in wet and cold seasons. As far as durability, it ranks among our longest lasting plastics. GStar plastic is typically more understable than other premium plastics. The GStar Roadrunner is great for: Effortless turnovers Your first hyzer-flip or sidearm disc Rollers Hit the gap disc How will I throw it?: Beginner to intermediate players will see straight flights right off the bat, especially if light weights used. Advanced players or those with high powered arms will turn this disc over easily. Great tailwind driver and long range roller.

  3. Turn down the overstability of the Firebird a notch with the grippy and flexy Innova GStar Firebird. How it feels: The Firebird’s medium sized rim allows for a comfortable fit for any sized hand. Dome ranges from modest to noticeable. Firebird Flight numbers: 9 / 3 / 0 / 4 Flight Path: Thrown flat with enough power, the overstable Firebird will fly straight for short to medium length drives until its strong fade hooks it to the ground. Excellent control driver for those overpowering other drivers. *A sidearm dominant player approved disc. GStar plastic: GStar plastic provides the most grip and flexibility from a premium Innova plastic. Really shines in wet and cold weather. Not quite as durable as Star, Champion, or Halo, but not as overstable either. The Innova Firebird is great for: Forehand Power drives Big backhand hyzers Powering through Headwinds Overhand hammers and thumbers Skip shots Forced anhyzers once seasoned Learn more about the Firebird here. How will I throw it?: Beginners: We do not recommend this disc to newer players. Intermediate players should be able to handle a GStar Firebird, especially in a lighter weight. Advanced players will make the most of the disc and its array of uses, even for the occasional flex anhyzer.
