More about the design: In artist Marm O. Set’s dramatized rendering, we see one of the high-ranking corn guardians, who later inspired the term scarecrow (don’t fact check that), displaying the Horseman’s severed head in victory to the village council. Little did they know, however, that the Horseman would soon be reborn to reclaim his pumpkin head and continue pilfering their corn fields.
