It’s December, so that means DGU is releasing the last GnomeDriven INNColor disc of the series. Each month this past year artist Skeet Scienski brought us a beautifully detailed full-color scene of gnomes playing cap-cap (the gnome version of disc golf).
Long a friend of the gnomes, Scienski set out to share their tale so human disc golfers would appreciate them if they ever came upon them.
For this last installment, Scienski brings it all home so to speak with a depiction of an actual gnome domicile located inside one of Scienski’s local disc golf courses. Though gnomes prefer the solitude of the countryside for their abodes, Skeet said it’s not uncommon for them to settle in your neighborhood disc golf course.
The gnome house Skeet illustrates in the December scene is one of special significance. Located at the base of a human disc golf target, the “Gnomes Landing” home is camouflaged in plain sight. Only gnome friendly humans are privy to it.
Sometimes, if human disc golfers are lucky and are known to be courteous, they may receive a post round treat from one of the Gnomes Landing inhabitants.
For all of you Gnome lovers out there, be sure to grab this one to complete your collection.
Though this series is ending, the cap-cap loving gnomes will still be playing their game and Scienski will still be capturing them in the way only he can.
